Hants Wheelchair for Needy Child
- from Freemasonry Today Summer 2005 Ron Ames, Secretary of the Eling Manor Lodge, No. 7337, in Hampshire, recently heard of the case of a child suffering from hypotania. This is a degenerative disease affecting children, which affects muscle development. The condition leads to a delay in all-round development of the child. Jordan Ifould is five years old and lives in the Hampshire village of Totton. Her disability means that she cannot stand, talk or walk. Ron persuaded a number of local Lodges from the Totton and Southampton Centres, in the Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight, to donate £2,500 so that a wheelchair could be purchased. |
Skittles Match - November 2009
Recently the Eling Manor and Mayflower skittles evening took place at the Totton Masonic Hall. We had an even number of members from both sides giving rise to a very entertaining evening. When the scores were added up Eling Manor took the shield by just one point. Eling Manor 493, Mayflower 492. The members also enjoyed a fish and chip supper and raised £253.00 for charity. This amount was split into two and Mayflower donated their amount to "Naomi House" and Eling Manor gave thiers to "Cash for Kids". A good time was had by all and we all look forward to the return match next year. |
